bleeding after hysterectomyFrom: Tanga (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 13 Nov 1998 15:05:49 -0600 (CST)
I had my hysterectomy on September 19, 1997. I am still experiencing problems with vaginal bleeding. I have been to 3 different specialist(obgyn and rectal)and they could never seem to find anything to tell me that I can live with. They've suggested Chron's disease. I've been told it was due to my diet, being overweight, (I'm 5'5" and 180lbs and I wear a size 14)and having hard stools. They gave me stool softeners, valium to relax rectal muscles and, hydrocodone to deal with the pain. They have been treating symptoms and not the real cause. I don't buy that! I have an appointment with another specialist in December, because this last time, I bled more than normal and longer. This time the blood seems to be dark brown or blackish in color. I would appreciate it, if you can give me some insight. Thanks Tanga
