Hi Wendy,

While you are waiting for a response from the medical professionals, let me throw in my thoughts. :)

I have been on clomid twice (1986, 1997) under the direction of OB/GYNs. The first time my doc only saw me for "clomid checks" when my period began (unsuccessful cycle) prior to prescribing more clomid.

The second time was a bit different. I saw my doc (different doctor) for the "clomid checks" as before, but the nurse practitioner at his office sat down with me for two hours and we went over everything and formed a game plan. Of course she ran it by my doctor later for his approval. We discussed the issue of clomid's effects on cervical fluid and decided I give the plain Robitussin a try first. If that didn't work they would give me supplemental estrogen. The Robitussin worked great - I got pregnant the second month and didn't have a cough!! The NP also told me to use an OPK. I was on clomid days 5-9 and she said to begin testing on day 11. I had a positive OPK (Clear Plan Easy) on the first try on day 11 and didn't believe it could be that easy so I retested again in the afternoon and the next morning for verification.

>From what I understand, you begin using the OPKs 2 days after you take you
last clomid. Perhaps one of the docs will clarify that.

Best of luck to you. I hope you get positive tests soon!
