Bladder Irritation during IntercourseFrom: Gena (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 5 Nov 1998 17:41:27 -0600 (CST)
For months, I have been having bladder irritation during intercourse. I often have to urinate before and after sex, but at times, even during sex, i feel the need to urinate. The lower front abdominal area often feels uncomfortable during sex no matter what position I am in at the time. I am wondering if this is due to a persistant bladder infection, or something more serious. I have been to doctors, and they usually just press on my abdomen and see if there is any pain. I have had urine samples taken, but nothing has ever been found to be wrong with me other than an occasional urinary tract infection. I should also mention that I am on Ortho Tri-Cyclen and have frequent yeast infections that do not itch..i usually find that i have a clumpy white discharge that is odorless and feeling-less. I wonder if this is all related. My symptoms tend to be sporadic. Could it also be that my partner's penis is affecting my bladder somehow, or that my bladder could be positioned abnormally within my lower abdomen? Please give me some medical advice..
-- Thank you very much,
