black burning menstruation

Whenever I get my period, the first 2-3 days are made up of a black, burning jel-like consistency and then the end is sort of normal. I cannot find an answer for this anywhere...not even my doctor.

I was operated on about 5 years ago for a chocolate cyst and endometriosis and am currently on the pill. (triphasil)

What can be an explanation to this type of period??
