I don't know if that information you got is true, but I sure hope not!!! I nursed my babies for a year and there were times I went 12 hours between breast feedings since I was working! They were always fine. Your body should just produce what the baby needs when she needs it. I'm no professional, but I would think that as long as it is in your body it is safe.
