My daughter had ulcerative colitis, in which she bled - second worse case the GI had seen - - I didn't know they could determine IBS thru a colonoscopy - I know they found that I had diverticula - but not blocked - I just hurt after I go to the bathroom, even with citrucel and colace - - Good Luck
