This happened to me after my baby was born back in '94. I was too afraid to mention somthing about it to the hospital staff, even my husband for a while. A doctor on call came in to discharge me and told me sort of "oh by the way..." I was anemic. I was a little surprised but didn't think about the two coinciding until later at home. When I checked it out my symptoms matched those of being aneminc. The heart palpitations were the worst! After a month of taking multi-vitamins with iron my heart palpitations improved!! You might want to call your doctor and mention the problems you're having and ask for a blood test.

PS--I learned my lesson from this: Pregnant women should ALWAYS take their vitamins! I felt too embarrassed by my husband because I couldn't open the Rx bottle and he could. He made me feel like such a dweeb. Still upsets me to think how I was treated. Did you take your prenatal vitamins?
