I warn my patients that they may spot for up to 6 weeks post-op, and there may be a little more at 3 months or so, depending on the type of absorbable suture used. After that, even spotting is abnormal, and bleeding like a period is abnormal from day 1 post-op. Vaginal vault prolapse is rare, and the incidence is impacted significantly by the method used by your surgeon. You might ask him/her about your concerns.
