What is irritable bladder? Does it cause any problems other than frequent trips to the bathroom? One article defined irritable bladder as needing to urinate more than 8 times in 24 hours. Is urinating 8 times a day really excessive? It doesn't sound like that much if one drinks 8 glasses of water a day plus coffee or soda! Excessive or frequent urination is sometimes listed as a symtom of different problems. How is "excessive or frequent" defined? At what point is it a problem worth mentioning to your doctor?
