Abnormal PapFrom: Tonya (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 9 Sep 1998 02:53:37 -0500 (CDT)
I had a pap smear 3 years ago that came back abnormal and was rated a 2, I was supposed to go back in 3 months but never did. (no excuse) I just recently had another pap smear and the results came back abnormal and it was rated a 4 or "high grade", I am scheduled for a colposcopy this Friday. My question is what are the chances that this may be cervical cancer? My Dr. mentioned that he thinks it is "precancer" if not cancer. I am 30 years old and have two children and had a tubal ligation, I have discussed a hysterectomy with my Dr. before and I am seriously considering it now.
