Loss of twin, continual spotting: pls helpFrom: Marie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 3 Sep 1998 12:22:29 -0500 (CDT)
I lost a twin at 7-8 weeks, diagnosed via u/s at 10 weeks after a spontaneous red bleed. I am now 12 weeks and the second baby is doing fine (per doppler at 11 weeks and u/s at 10 weeks). I am, however, experiencing daily brown spotting (more in the mornings than the evenings). This has been going on for weeks. I also have a subchorionic (perigestational) bleed which my doctor is no longer monitoring closely. He has simply told me to take it easy, but that I can go to work. No exercise or sex, however. The daily spotting is worrisome. I fear something is wrong with the remaining baby. My next appt is not for weeks. In the meantime, is there really nothing I can do? No one I've spoken to has had this much spotting for this long. Am I just passing the deceased embryo? There are tiny clots in the discharge.
