pregnancy after three miscarriagesFrom: Andrea (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 2 Sep 1998 20:47:07 -0500 (CDT)
I miscarried twice before I had one normal pregnancy and birth, and miscarried for a third time in April, 1998. My husband and I have had all of the genetic testing done which came back normal after my second miscarriage. I tried using progesterone suppositories when I got pregnant a third time, which must have worked because I do have a beautiful three year old daughter. I had been on the progesterone for about 2 weeks when I miscarried a third time in April. We would really like to try again, but are fearful of another miscarriage. Should I seek the advice of a specialist, or follow my ob's advice of trying the progesterone one more time? We desperately want another child, but are very skeptical of trying again due to fact that I've had three D&C's, and one laparaoscopy for blockage in one tube and infection after my last miscarriage. Have we waited long enough, and could you offer any advice? Thanks for any information you can share with me.
