Groin painFrom: Diane (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 31 Jul 1998 12:48:06 -0500 (CDT)
I am a 39 yr old woman, and have been experiencing a dull aching, occasionally throbbing pain in my right side groin area. This ache radiates down my leg into my heel. Since it started 2 days before ovulation, back in May, I thought it might be related in some way. It has not abated since then. I had a pelvic u/s and everything looked fine.I went to my internist last week and she thinks it is actually hip pain, although it is only in my groin. I do remember having sharp hip pain for a few months after my son was born almost two years ago. If it is possible that I damaged it then, why would it start hurting now? Any ideas? (I don't want to have a pelvic x-ray, as my internist suggested, since I am currently trying to conceive and don't want to zap my ovaries.)
