Did the morning after thing...now what?From: Anonymous (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 29 Jul 1998 18:28:53 -0700
Ever have one of those months? I know I should have seen a gynecologist, but I am carless and just couldn't swing taking the time off work. BUT luckily my roommate just *happens* to be a PA. Between her and the Internet we figured out how much estrogen I should take. I took .14mg of ethinoyl something or other twice (basically 4 regular birth control pills), 12 hours apart. And felt absolutely icky. No vomiting though thankfully. So now I am sitting here. Feeling fine and wondering if it worked. Or if I even WAS pregnant. (While some sperm naturally escaped, my lover never ejaculated) When can I expect my period after such a massive dosage of estrogen? And could I take one of those over the counter pregnancy tests? I might be wrong, but aren't those looking for a specific hormone you expel when you are pregnant? Would it show up now if I was? Why do you need to wait until after your first missed period day? Thanks for all your help. The bitter irony here? The very day I felt myself ovulating (falsely I hope) my boyfriend broke up with me. He has no idea what is going on here.
