Ovulation, mittleschmerz ?'s

I think I know some of the answers to these questions, but am asking for a friend, and need to be able to give her something printed (which I can't find in my files right now, as I am in the middle of remodeling). I'll be sending 2 other posts asking other questions for her, to stay within the forum guidelines :) (Would look bad for a forum advisor to ignore the guidelines, huh?) :)

This friend is 30 years old. 10 years ago she had her right ovary removed due to a large dermoid tumor that had been present (they think) since birth, but had grown large enough to be a problem.

With just one functioning ovary, and with the one removed having never functioned, can she ovulate every month? Will her eggs get old or will she run out sooner than a woman who ovulates from a different ovary every month? Any month she has not been on the pill, she has had mittleschmerz on the side of her remaining ovary -- wouldn't that mean she is ovulating?
