The goal should not me to lower the ESR so much as to find out what is causing it to be elevated. This could be any number of things and is not something that could be adequately worked up over the internet. I would start with a good internist, and if you feel you have already had a thorough internal medicine workup, I would consider seeing a rheumatologist, a specialist in inflammatory diseases of joints, muscles, and connective tissue.
