adhesions/ bleeding?From: mjak (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 27 Jul 1998 13:30:29 -0500 (CDT)
Over the past six months I have had numerous health problems. I have and pelvic pain and blood in my urine. i have had a ct scan, cystoscopy, ultrasound and blood work. I have pcos and have very irregular periods. No cause for the pain or bleeding has been found. the doctors believe I have adhesions from surgery three years ago to remove an ovary; one doctor believes this is causing the bleeding and pain. Antoher doctor thinks it is low grade urinary track infections. I have also had episodes of major rectal bleeding. I had a colonoscopy; again no cause was found for the bleeding. I have also had numerous expisode of passing out. Today the blood is back in my urine. My doctors have led me to believe since all tests have checked out not to worry about the bleeding. My gynocologist wants to do exploritory surgery. Unfortunitly i had another episode of passing out and the surgey had to be posponed. My question is can adhesions cause bleeding? Is it ok to do nothing about this bleeding since all tests checked out? thanks for your time. marcy
