high blood pressure

During my last doctor visit, I was told that my blood pressure had risen to 160/102. My doctor feels that this is due to stress and has suggested that I take Zoloft. My question is: Should my blood pressure be lowered with conventional blood pressure medication or should I take the Zoloft as he prescribed?
