2 Dr.s unable to perform HSG test today.From: Wendy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 13 Jul 1998 14:53:08 -0500 (CDT)
Background information: I am 32 & have been trying to get preganant for over a year. In November, I started having spotting for about a week in between periods, & periods have been pretty light. I have been charting BBT & it seems that I am ovulating. My luteal phase is long enought to sustain preganancy as well. Cervical fluid seem o.k. too. (I have the book, Taking Charge of Your Fertility, as recommended by many people on this site.) Today I went in for an HSG, but 2 doctors tried for 45 minutes & were unable to perform the test. They could not get the tube through my cervix. They said it might be cervical stenosis. The tubes they used would buckle instead of going into the cervix. (They used a size 5 & a size 7,disposable, whatever that means.) I spoke to my doctor & he made an appointment for me to come see him in a couple of weeks to look at my cervix. Is this unusual? Could this be why I'm not pregnant yet? Could this inability to get the tubes in mean that there might be something else wrong with me? Thanks in advance for any information. Wendy
