I am six weeks pregant. I started spotting early on, and it has become progressively worse, although not acting like a regular period. I am passing alot of mucous with some blood. I am not cramping in my abdomen, but I have a funny tingling sensation in my cervical area and labia that worsens when I am standing for any length of time. The discomfort goes away almost immediately with sitting or lying down, which I am doing a lot of. The spotting lessens when I am down, also. I have had an ultasound 5 days ago, and they said the sac measured 6 weeks but looked small. They did detect a heart beat. My age is 42. Could my cervex be at fault? I don'tdare be on my feet for very long. I have had a twin pregnacy in 1980, which went to term. I had a singleton in 1987, also to term . No problems whatsoever with either pregnancy. Did have 2 C sections. My cervex would not dialate at all with the 2nd pregnacy. I want have this baby. My ob says that I have a 50% chance of keeping this pregancy. Are there any things I could be doing at this point? I did have a base line Qhcg yesterday, but have not heard results, nor do I know when to go back for another. Please answer.
