Hi Lisa!

How wonderful for you to have such a great birth! I agree with you that much of our birth experience can and does have to do with where our head is at when we start labor, however, there is something to be said for the way women are built. No two women are built the same, their pelvic symetry <sp> is different. So I think it may be unfair to make a blanket statement saying "I think a lot of the 'agony' of childbirth is in your head! " That would be like saying, PMS, cramps, and such are all in your head, when really they aren't. Babies that are OP and not AP are much harder to deliver, this has been proven. I am all for unmedicated, natural childbirth, but I am firm believer that labor is called labor for a reason. I just don't want any woman on this list or anywhere else to think or feel that they don't meausure up because they don't have a short labor or delivery, or they end up tearing, or having an episitomy, or perhaps even an epidrual.

Everyone is just different:)
