abdominal painFrom: Christine (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 14 Apr 1998 10:01:52 -0500 (CDT)
I have been having right sided pain that starts around the time I think I may have ovulated until my period is almost done. My cycles have recently been irratic. Some months I feel the occassional throb there - barely noticable. Other months (like this one) the pain shoot down my thigh and across my lower back. My gyn told me it may be adhesions to the abdominal wall. No tests have been done. Can you tell me what is happening at the ovary site to cause this? I thought swelling of the ovary only occured at ovulation. I have conceived my daughter 4 yrs ago "instantly" and again Jan'97 (blighted ovum). Could this be a reason I am not getting pregnant(starting my 12th month of trying)? My concern is that I am to start serophene 50mg next cycle if I am not pregnant and my gyn says the discomfort may get worse. Is there anything else it could be? Thanks for your time,
-- Christine--
