discharge due to surgically making a hymen in a 13 yr oldFrom: Nora (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sun, 12 Apr 1998 23:30:26 -0500 (CDT)
My friend 13 yr old daugher was born without a hymen. The dr surgically made one about a year ago..at that time they drained quite a bit of old blood out of the area and determined that she had probably been having her period for about a year. Since the surgery she has had a mucousy discharge. The gyn tried birth contol pills but they made her start bleeding when she took them so they have determined that this is not the answer. They are planning to do a d and c with a local anethetic in the dr office to see if they can curet he problemThye think it may be related to scar tissue. do you have any information on the subject or can you determine what is causing the discharge. thanks for your information....Sincerely. Nora Rogers
