It's an abdominal hysterectomy (will save the ovaries if they are not seriously involved) for endometriosis that has been unresponsive to everything that we have thrown at it (laparoscopy, estrogen+progesterone therapy, progesterone-depot) except Lupron. It resumed approximately 3 mo post-Lupron, and is constant and intolerable.
