Hi OBGYN.net'ers,
Since we are pretty new to chat I wanted to remind you about the time zone
conversions. The times listed below are Central Standard Time which is -6
GMT. That makes us:
2 hours ahead of US/Canada Pacific Coast Time
1 hour behind US/Canada East Coast Time
6 hours behind United Kingdom
7 hours behind Continental Europe
15 hours behind Far East (+9 GMT)
17 hours behind Australia (+11 GMT)
The ideal conditions for running chat are Win95/NT with Netscape version 3
or 4, or MS Internet Explorer version 3 or 4. Macintoshes and Netscape
version 3 or 4 work fine and Windows 3.1 and Netscape will work but it may
be a bit more problematic. If you do not have one of these combinations you
can still use chat but you must select the "HTML Client" option when you login.
If this is your first time into chat select the button that says "one time
registration" after going to the OBGYN.net chat page. It will take you
through the steps of getting the chat plugin and registering. You only have
to do this once and afterwards you can go directly to the login screen each
time.
I recommend you install the chat plugin and try it out prior to the actual
live chat sessions. If you have problems with chat you can write me
(bruce.speyer@obgyn.net) or Mary Shoup (mary.shoup@obgyn.net) for assistance
or call me toll-free at 1-888-451-2842 or 1-512-231-0810.
See =8-) you in chat
Bruce
