It is not standard policy to do a myomectomy/frozen section and subsequent hysterectomy. I'm not sure why your GYN put that fear in your head. There is no good way of predicting preoperatively which will be malignant. The growth rate, etc. is not helpful. But as you said, the chance of malignancy is less than 0.5%
