The reported rate of miscarriage in the general population is 17-25%, where most health care providers quote about 20%. One article years ago stated that in the first month off the pill, the miscarriage rate is increased slightly to 24%, but goes back to baseline thereafter. In pregnancies conceived the month after going off the pill, there was no greater risk of any abnormalities above the general population.
