Mommogram report ?From: anonymous@obgyn.netTue, 31 Mar 1998 08:27:56 -0600 (CST)
I had a mammogram for a lump in my breast. According to the report it is a "questionable prominent underlying duct" and a 6 mo follow-up is suggested in order to be sure that it is benign. Later in the report though it also says that the lack of a definitive report should not discourage a biopsy. (Partly I am told due to the fact that the lump was palpable yet, on the mammogram it was barely visable -- I have very dense breasts.) Would I be wasting my time and $ to get a biopsy done now? Would it be a problem to just wait and go back in 6 mo?
