Hi, I had a laparotomy on Thursday. She removed a dermoid cyst, my right ovary, tube, and cleaned up many adhesions from prior surgery for removal of my left ovary and tube. My incision is 6 inches , bikini. I am wondering how much activity I can do. I have a huge staircase and have been climbing them ( my bed is on the second floor ) about 10 times a day since Sat. I am also having to do some housework because of a very lazy husband and two small kids. I am doing laundry, but making sure they are small loads. I am feeling ok, better than I felt the last time I had surgery. Is this ok to do? My doctor OK'd stairs, my husband doesn't want to hire a help for the house, but I also don't want to hurt myself. I am 26 and in pretty good shape.. Thanks for the information.. Anni
