A couple of pill questions..From: Kristin (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 9 Mar 1998 13:11:42 -0600 (CST)
I've been noticing that a few women have been posting on here, concerned that they were ovulating on their pills, and I have a question about that myself... I've been taking my pills regularly, but like one woman who posted on here earlier (CyberT) they didn't sit well with my stomach and one was vomited up, the second one in the first pack. Since then, I have been using them perfectly, but it does seem, similar to CyberT's experience, that I'm ovulating even now....my mucus has been clear and thin, and just out of curiousity's sake, I took my BBT for a few days. It dropped low, just like ovulation. If I am indeed ovulating, does this mean that the pill that I'm taking is worthless?? Does it still have ANY controceptive benifits?? One more question, also like many women on this Forum, Allesse (what I'm taking) seems to be the pill of choice for young women. Whereas it is the lowest low-dose OC out there, is it possible that it is not strong enough to prevent ovulation? Thanks!!
