subsequent pregnancy after a lossFrom: Amy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 02 Mar 1998 00:17:22 -0600
I lost a full term, ten day old baby in October of 1996. The baby was in distress and born by emergency c-section. He was multibly entangled in the umbilical cord and was suffering from muconium aspiration and oxygen deprivation. I am currently seven weeks pregnant and have several questions. First of all, I'm having some mild lower back pain, which I've actually battled since my spinal with the delivery of my son. I'm concerned about it now during this pregnancy that possibly something is wrong. I also have been having strange pains on the crease where your leg meets your pelvis. Last night I woke up with this pain and was having what felt like spasms and the top of my leg was going numb. I desperately fear a miscarriage and am unsure that these symptoms my be the start of one. My doctor says the pain in the crease area that I described was normal, however, I haven't discussed the spasms with her yet. Should I be conserned? Also I am considering going VBAC if I carry this pregnancy to term but fear that something else my go wrong. What are the chances of uterine Rupture?
