Adhesions

I am 1 year post hysterectomy, everything was removed except one ovary. I have been experiencing pain and menopausal symptoms for some time now. I saw my doctor today he says the ovary is probably wrapped in adhesions. As for the menopausal symptoms, he ordered a blood test for FSH levels. Is it possible that if this ovary is wrapped in adhesions and the ovary is removed this may eleviate some of this pain?

Also a CA 125 was also ordered because of my family history of reproductive cancers, and I was wondering how reliable these results are.

I finally saw a copy of the pathology report done at the time of my hysterectomy, and the only thing they found was a benign cyst on my right fallopian tube(this ovary was removed). Could this have caused all of my problems? I had 3 week long, very heavy periods, and frequent pain.

ALso this pathology report showed a capsule which the doctor explained was the ovary was about to release an egg, but up until the day of surgery, and for many months prior I was on birth control pills to try to stop the bleeding. I thought ovulation was not supposed to occur on the pill, am I wrong?
