I am looking for information on the effects of a misscarriage on ones hormonal balances. I miscarried twins at eight weeks the week after Christmas. Since then I have had my HCG levels checked and they went down to below three very quickly. My problem is my periods. Since the miscarriage I have had two periods. The first one was a week earlier then expected but the second one was on time. However, both were extremely heavy. Very hard to keep up with for at least the first two days. Going through super plus tampon every hour easily. No cramps to speak of and no other problems. Could the miscarriage have caused a hormonal problem that effects all this and if so, will this problem take care of itself?
