Yipes! I have a uterine prolapse (Stage 2), cystocele (small), and rectocele (small). Few symptoms to speak of (yet?). I have seen four doctors about this, and mentioned to each one that my husband and I are trying to start another pregnancy. Your reply to April was the first inkling I've gotten that prolapse might cause any problems!

Are you saying that the big problem with prolapse is higher incidence of infection, which then can cause preterm labor, etc? Or are preterm labor and infection independent problems that can occur with prolapse?

My doctors have all said that the growing uterus will push upward with pregnancy and that the prolapse symptoms will go away then (until labor and delivery). Is this wrong?
