At this time, there is no good suspensory surgery that will hold up a full term pregnant uterus with all of its weight (baby +fluid +increased weight of uterus +placenta = 10-15lb.). Only you can pick the timing of your children but your doctor is correct that complications may increase. As a resident, we had a patient will prolapse whose cervix sat outside the vagina. When in labor (not preterm labor) and she got fully dilated, since the cervix was outside the vagina, she delivered in bed. No pushing was necessary.

Concerns include preterm labor secondary to infection, irritation and inflammatin of the cervix and possible infection tracking up to the uterus will prolapse. I have heard of using a pessary to hood the cervix up in pregnancy as we do in prolapse in older patients. I have no personal experience with this.
