On November 25, 1996, one month before I turned 30, my period started and didn't stop! My period was on most of 1997. I went to several different doctors and received everything from birth control pills, to shots to other medicines. My period was controlled for a a few days and then start again. In October of 1997 my doctor put me on Medroxyprogesterone and I was supposed to take 10 a month. It worked until February 1998. Now it has started again and I have been on now for 15 days (which is minor since I was on my period for most of 1997)! I am worried about my fertility and that I may have to have my uterus taken out or something. I had one abortion in 1995. I have never seen anything like this before. What is it? Why is it happening? Have other people had it? Is is common? I have tried to find articles on this but NO ONE WILL ADDRESS IT!!!!! I have an appointment tomorrow to see another doctor and then I am going to a specialist. Is it hormonal? Am I having a nervouse breakdown? (I am a type "A" high stressed individual). Please advise.
