If they are labor contractions, you either deliver or preterm labor is suppressed. If no progress is made, youare not in labor and by definition, it is BH contractions. BH contrax don't fit a nice definition as some would lead you to believe. They can be tetanic and very painful. As you said, no other cause that I mentioned was in play and this then leads to BH contractions that were tetanic. And, as we all know, BH contrax are normal in pregnancy. Sorry to be long-winded but that's the answer.
