Irregular PeriodsFrom: Angela (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 4 Feb 1998 08:20:07 -0600 (CST)
I have had problems all my life with my period. I can go as long as ten months without getting my period. I have had two succesful pregnancies. I have no been trying for four years to have another baby. A vaginal ultra sound revealed nothing. I have had my thyroid checked and all is well. My doctor had me on the pill to control my bleeding and to get me ovulating. Unfortunately I began itcing everywhere and was taken off the pill after three months. I am currently only seeing a Physician't Assistant ( my husband is in the military and we are overseas so I see whoever is available). She is confused as to what step to take next. She would like to put me on Depo however when I was on Provera I had my period every other week. I am overweight and I am watching what I eat and exercising so she isn't worried about my weight( I was heavy with my second child). I was wondering what should my next step be? Is there anything that can help ovulate or is it hopeless? I am only twenty five and no one else in my family has had this problem.
