As I stated previously, the endometrial biopsy and sonohysterogram have, for all intents and purposes, replaced the D&C in pre-menopausal women. There are a few exceptions, but your situation doesn't seem to be one of them. In post-menopausal women it is still true but there may be many other exceptions. The literature is still trying to delineate the exact place for the post-menopausal D&C

If things change, a D&C can always be done
