If it's normal swelling and not an infection or fluid collection, it can last 2-3 months.

Sometimes that is the reason.

Everybody is different.Anemia changes things too and affects the rate of healing.

I normally see patients at 1-2 weeks after discharge and 4-6 weeks post op. You may wish to move up the appt. if your still not feeling well.
