Because I have not examined you and have no idea the reason you were offered surgery for a condition generally handled in the office, I will answer with my usual practice. An endocervical polyp is generally small (up to around 3 centimenters). It has a small stalk connecting it to the cervix. In the office at the time of diagnosis it can easily be grasped and twisted off. No anesthesia is needed and patients never bleed. good luck..
