I have little tolerance for marital infidelity, as it violates the trust within a marriage, and places the spouse at risk for health problems like STDs. The following are STDs one might consider testing for in a patient who has an unfaithful spouse: Cultures of the cervix: Chlamydia Gonorrhea Blood work: Syphilis Hepatitis B HIV Inspection of genital organs (when lesions are present): HPV (genital warts) Herpes Trichomonas These are relatively easy to test for, and I'm sure your doctor would have no problem testing for these. Good luck with your upcoming surgery.
