Trisha; Post ablation discharge is very variable ... from days to weeks. considering that the entire endometrial cavity is "raw" and cauterized by the procedure, weeks is often seen. A failure is usually defined as the patient saying"I am no better off after the procedure than beforehand" Total cessation of bleeding will vary fro patient to patient, the type of procedure performed, and the skill and experience of the hysteroscopic surgeon; that rate can vary from 30 to 88%!!!

Good Luck
