As a part of her typical yearly exam, she has been told that she has a fibroid tumor. Although she is asked to have an ultrasound, the doctor is implying she has nothing to worry about. 1 My question: All of the literature I have been reading states that fibroid tumors do not occur in women who have gone through menopause. Is this true? Could her tumor be more serious that what she is lead to believe?
