Marchbein, M.D.: "Re: Loestrin and Heavy Bleeding" How does Loestrin control heavy bleeding in a perimeno women? Wouldn't the added estrogen in the drug encourage bleeding and make fibroids grow? Should Progest or other natural progesterone be taken while on short-term Loestrin that is being taken for heavy bleeing. My own doc wasn't very clear on these points. Thanks for any advice.
