Patty- Continuous vaginal bleeding for a month is abnormal and should be evaluated, usually by a gynecologist. There are really too many possible causes to discuss here, but most are easily correctable with either hormonal treatment or surgery. It is very unlikely the bleeding is related to her car accident. Please ask your friend to see a doctor to have this evaluated, as there is no reason why she should have to continue bleeding like this. -- Ashley Hill D.
