Donna, I can't advise you whether or not to have a hysterectomy. I don't have enough information. If, however, your major problems are bleeding problems, there other resources. The most obvious would be hysteroscopy with endometrial resection and ablation. This has worked well for bleeding problems. It would not address your PMS or any other symptoms you may have.
