Just curious...again!!

My house looks like a tornado hit it and instead of cleaning it before work I sit here asking all the questions I've wondered about that weren't important enough to ask for 10-15 years!! I figure, I'll have all 7 kids here tomorrow for Halloween...so I'll just tell them the house is a spook house...hehe. It is pretty scary!!

Seriously though, I've had an odd thing with all my pregnancies. I've always been sure of my dates...I've been one of the lucky few who could plan a conception damn near to the day. But, pregnancy tests never show positive till I'm about 6-8 weeks pregnant. I have all the signs and know I'm pregnant but can't even get a serum test to show positive unitl at least 2-3 weeks past when my period is due. I also go overdue each time...given the chance. My first I was 20 days late and started labor on my own...finally!! (Castor oil didn't even help with him...hehe!) My 2nd, I went 2 weeks over and was induced. The doc induced the next 2 on schedule due to gestational diabetes. My question is...what does this? Must have something to do with HCG levels...but it's like my body doesn't realize it's pregnant for 2-3 weeks and sets it's clock for gestation by the date that it finally realizes it's pregnant! Has anyone else done this or had patients who do this? Just curious. Not that it's a problem in the least...I've just learned to set my due date back by 2 weeks!! :)

Thanks!
