Blood Clot? Weird Sono...right ovary cyst...From: Anne (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 24 Oct 1997 14:26:20 -0500 (CDT)
Dear Doctors, Hello! Okay I am 7w4d pregnant and had another sonogram yesterday. RE says everything looks good...but...he spent ten minutes measuring a blood clot that has been to the left and rear of the sac. It keeps growing each time I have a sono (every week). The baby looks great he says and is measuring right on. The "clot" has grown to maintain the same size as the babies sac. There doesn't appear to any blood flow to the clot but it keeps getting bigger. RE is unable to see the whole clot though because it is sort of behind the baby. Also there is a cyst on my right ovary that keeps getting bigger too. It has doubled in size it just one week but is still under 3cm. I assume these two things are not related but am not sure... Bottom line... Dr says the baby looks good but his actions showed concern for the clot. Any ideas why this thing won't dissolve away? 24 yrs old, 120lbs, 2nd kid, had endo biopsy on day 10 of the pregnancy(before I knew) in good health. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks Anne N.
