About AmniocentesisFrom: anonymous@obgyn.netSun, 19 Oct 1997 19:29:36 -0500
Hello my name is Alicia and I'm from Spain. I'm 34 years old and 10 weeks of pregnancy my physician offers me the Amniocentesis to detect the Dawn syndrome. But I don't like the risk of misscarring and the possibilitie to abortion over the 5month. The CVS is less secure and I don't think in it. I don't know the % of sucess of the blood test"triple screen", and I don't know if in my country there is a physician that uses well the Doppler to detect the Dawn Syndrome. Actually I don't Know to do in one hand I've been missing a long time to have a baby and the other hand I wouldn't like to have a baby with Dawn syndrome. Please keep me informed about the real differences between the risk at 35years old and the risk at 34 years old. I'm very depressing. Alicia
